Re-Opening December 2020
South Croydon Sports Club will reopen from Thursday 3rd December, under Tier 2 High Covid restrictions.
The Government's decision to return to the tiered system does permit sporting facilities like ours to reopen. We will be following the revised Tier 2: High Covid Alert Level regulations and guidance from each sections' governing body.
Very limited badminton activities will resume and club session memberships remain suspended. All Social memberships will resume from December.
- Senior club sessions remain suspended until further notice, and we are working towards to the return of Junior Badminton sessions. Parents and junior members will be notified in due course.
- At present only members will be permitted access to book and play badminton court time, and under covid safety restrictions.
All outdoors tennis activities will resume and all memberships will resume from December after a 1-month suspension in November.
All Bridge activities and memberships remain suspended until further notice.
The Bar & Lounge and changing rooms will remain closed, but toilet facilities will be available. Face coverings must be wore when entering into the Clubhouse and only removed whist in active play on court. Members will not permitted to wait, or meet and socialize inside the Clubhouse.
The Club will reopen again and will comply with all the latest regulations. It remain an extremely difficult time for both individuals and for the Club, and with positive covid cases remains high in London and surrounding Counties, we must remain vigilant and do our part to reduce the transmission rate by following covid safety guidance.
